NHS Test and Trace app security redux
On the week commencing 10th August, the new version of the NHS Test and Trace app was released for trials (again on the Isle of Wight, but also in Newham and to NHS Volunteer Responders). Ahead of the trials going live, Dr Ian Levy, National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) Technical Director and Stuart H, the NHS Test and Trace App acting CISO, explained in this informative blog post how security and privacy have been approached in the new version of the app, to help people understand how it protects users.
